About buying rare fish online

Experienced collectors know that rare fish become available sporadically, and when they are available, not only is the quantity limited, but the fish might not be available again for a long time.

We bring hard-to-find fish to one location where collectors can keep their eye out for fish they are interested in adding to their tank, and we also go an additional mile to help make it easier for you to get the fish that you want.

Discovering rare fish for your aquarium

Along the right side, you will find a list of links to different types of fish. Each fish listed on this site comes with a description of the fish, notes about its compatibiilty with other fish, how easy or difficult it is to take care of, how common or rare it is, and how well it will fare specifically in a reef tank. This is there as a guide for you to use to discover new possibilities for your collection, so feel free to peruse it and to refer to as you plan your aquarium’s community.

Request the rare fish that you want

While there is no practical way to “place an order for a fish,” we have the next best thing. You can add your name to the list of people we contact when a specfic fish becomes available.

When you find a fish on the site that you are interested in adding to your tank (and it’s not one of the rare fish for sale on the website), you can add your name on the list for that fish by entering your email address in the box provided toward the upper right corner. When that fish is here and ready to go, we send out a notification to all the people who have asked us to let them know when they can get one.

Adding yourself to the list also helps us with our sources. If we know that there are 15 people who want to know when we have a Conspiculatus Angel for sale, then sometimes we can try to bring a couple in.

Looking for a rare fish that is not on the site?

Let us know. Again, this isn’t the place to “order a fish,” but it does let you communicate with us so that we can keep our eye out for one for you. The best way is to use our contact page and tell us what you are looking for in detail. This is also a good way to ask questions and to get other information that is not found on the website. We answer every email as soon as possible, by the end of the next business day.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you.

We look forward to fulfilling your rare saltwater fish needs. We know that our job is to make you, our customer and our boss, happy with the fish that you are selecting to add to your collection… And we are very happy to do so. Being saltwater aquarium owners, ourselves, we all know the thrill of adding a new fish to the the tank, and the joy of seeing it fit into its new community.

We are happy to share this joy with you.
